# Get Started with LeagueDAO

The following pages provide a step-by-step walk through for participating in LeagueDAO as well as specifications on the different protocols the DAO develops.

Hey there!\
\
We are pleased to welcome you on the LeagueDAO Docs page. It’s a great place to start learning more about the DAO and its products.

### **Overview**

LeagueDAO is a decentralized open source project developing Web3 Fantasy Sports and Gaming Protocols. &#x20;

&#x20;LeagueDAO launched in August of 2021. Since the launch, LeagueDAO has developed an ecosystem of 4 different p2e fantasy sports games:

1. Nomo Keeper League
2. The Mega League
3. Scramble Fantasy
4. Non-Fungible Brackets (aka NFB)

The continued development of the dApps is provided by the core team and governed by the community through the DAO.

LeaguDAO empowers the community by enabling decentralized decision making for the   apps the DAO decides to build. It is governed by the $LEAG tokens and is the core component of LeagueDAO.&#x20;

# What is it?

The LeaguePass Gold is an NFT collection launched by LeagueDAO on the Ethereum Mainnet.&#x20;

Holding a LeaguePass Gold will unlock your access to all current and future LeagueDAO's Web3 fantasy sports leagues hosted on the the LeagueDAO Mega League App.

Each LeaguePass Gold grants the holder lifetime access to the applicable Fantasy Mega League according to the token properties.

# Utility

The LeaguePass NFT was originally built to power our decentralized sign up system for the Mega League application. Anyone who has already signed up for our 2022 Fantasy Football League has done so by minting a standard LeaguePass on Polygon.

The LeaguePass Gold goes a little bit further. This collection, which is dropping on Ethereum, will give the holder access to the 2022 Fantasy Football league AND free access to all future LeagueDAO Fantasy Football Mega Leagues.

Additional Utility:&#x20;

* Lifetime entry into LeagueDAO’s Fantasy Football Mega Leagues
* Serves as a Mint Pass gain free entry into other LeagueDAO fantasy sports games e.g. Non-Fungible Brackets and Scrambl Fantasy
* Participate in exclusive LeagueDAO airdrops and giveaways
* Exclusive LeagueDAO Merch
* Receive LEAG tokens to use in the fantasy league or to participate in LeagueDAO Governance

# Gold vs Standard LeaguePass

The Standard LeaguePass is only good for one season. Each pass is burned when you claim your spot in the league app.

As we grow and add more leagues to the Mega League app, the standard LeaguePass will continue to be used to manage league sign ups and fee collection (to the relief of fantasy league commissioners everywhere).

If you mint a LeaguePass Gold for the Fantasy Football league, you will have FREE access to compete in all future Official LeagueDAO Fantasy Football Mega Leagues.

# Airdrop to 2022 LeaguePass Minters

If you minted a Standard LeaguePass on Polygon for the 2022 Fantasy Football Mega League and did not also mint a LeaguePass Gold, we will airdrop you a free LeaguePass Gold.

The Date and Time of the Airdrop will be announced at a Later Date.&#x20;

The Lineup Lock Time is when team lineups lock each week. This applies to moving players between active slots, or between active slots and bench slots.

Here is the Lineup Lock Time for the 2022 Mega League:

**Lock Individually at Scheduled Gametime:** Team Managers can make moves to their weekly rosters until the scheduled kickoff time of each player's game. This is the default setting and is used by the majority of leagues.&#x20;

# Head 2 Head Matchups

# Free Agent Marketplace

Free Agents players can be purchased from the Free Agent Marketplace in the Mega League App.&#x20;

We use a standard public auction process for all free agent purchases. The highest bidder for each player wins the claim!

### Making a bid <a href="#making-a-bid" id="making-a-bid"></a>

* All Free Agent Auctions are held via the $LEAG ERC-20 Token
* Bids are public, so other managers can see how much your bid is.
* The highest bid at the end of the waiver period wins the player.
* The minimum initial bid on any player is 5000 $LEAG.
* The minimum counter/bid increase is 500 $LEAG (10% of the minimum initial bid).

### Auction Timing

# Trading Players

## Veto a Trade <a href="#main-content" id="main-content"></a>

The ability to veto a trade is available in order to prevent collusion in a league.<br>

* EVERY team manager in the league has the power to cast a vote against a trade, EXCEPT the two teams involved in the trade.&#x20;
* Once a trade is accepted, other managers in the Division can can vote to veto the trade.&#x20;
* If enough votes are cast against the trade (6 out of 10, +50% of teams NOT involved in the trade), then it will be immediately canceled.&#x20;
* Once player(s) are traded, the players will be on team's bench until Team Manager manually move them to active lineup.&#x20;

### **TRADE REVIEW PERIOD**

This is the length of time allowed where the league decides if a trade is fair. League Managers can determine the span of time for the review. If one of the *"hour"* review periods is selected -- and the trade is not vetoed -- it will process within the hour (not the exact minute) when the period expires.

**Current Trade Review Period: 48 hours**

***"48 HOURS"*****&#x20;example:** A trade is accepted at 11:05am ET on Friday. If the trade is not vetoed it will process within the hour after the 11:05am ET time on Sunday (48 hours after the time the trade was accepted on Friday).

### NO **TRADE DEADLINE**

It's common for fantasy leagues to set a deadline for trading players between teams.  We do not have this limitation.&#x20;

**No trade deadline** - Trades are allowed for the duration of the season.<br>

# Getting Started

## How do I get started? <a href="#f360" id="f360"></a>

### 1. Purchase a Nomo Player Token <a href="#d2c2" id="d2c2"></a>

First, you need to purchase a [Nomo Player Token](https://opensea.io/collection/leaguedao-nomo-player-token). The Fantasy Football Player Token sale is still open, so if you haven’t purchased your player yet you still can.

### 2. Connect to Nomo <a href="#id-3910" id="id-3910"></a>

Once you have a Player Token in your wallet go to[ app.leaguedao.com](http://app.leaguedao.com/) and connect your wallet.

![](https://miro.medium.com/max/664/1*W7eDk3xT742SB-5p_spvvg.png)

* ***Important:** We have launched the Nomo Fantasy Sports dApp on the **Polygon Network**. This allows us to do things in the app and with the fantasy sports leagues that would not be possible via the Ethereum Mainnet. This means that you have to switch your wallet to the **Polygon Network** in order to play. This also means you will need MATIC in your wallet to pay transaction fees.*

Once your wallet is connected you will be able to see all of the player tokens in your wallet.

![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*PNyMvUsaa-klTlSp7JL2YQ.png)

### 3. Stake your team <a href="#id-7d3b" id="id-7d3b"></a>

Manage your “Team” by staking your Player Token NFTs in the appropriate league.

Right now we have just launched the Fantasy Football (American Football) league, so that is the only league that shows up. More sports are coming very soon.

![](https://miro.medium.com/max/653/1*ApAkNZYD3JLx77w5_wFgAA.png)

Click **Stake Players** and select which players you would like to stake. Players must be staked before the first game of the week to be eligible to compete for that week’s rewards.

You can only stake a maximum of 12 players at any point, so you have to use a little skill and research to pick your top 12 player tokens.

![](https://miro.medium.com/max/600/1*5CawLzp1ap10jmtFBmlO1A.gif)

Once you’ve staked your players, you are all set.

### 4. Claim your rewards <a href="#id-26dc" id="id-26dc"></a>

At the end of the week, you will be able to claim your share of the rewards. Go to your “Account” page in the dApp, click ‘Claim’ and approve the transaction. It’s that easy.

![](https://miro.medium.com/max/700/1*vTS0iPyKM3F3Zcyx8VTpJQ.png)

With the launch of the Nomo dApp, you now have everything you need to compete in tokenized fantasy sports.

# What is a Nomo League?

## Nomo Fantasy Leagues

Nomo Leagues are Tokenized Fantasy Sports League that utilize web3 and tokenomics to create a unique experience for sportsfans. The league is built around a smart contract framework that enables users/league participants to benefit from the performance of real world athletes via an on chain protocol.&#x20;

Nomo Leagues have been built to provide utility to our Dynamic NFTs, Nomo Player Tokens. By staking a player token in an active Nomo League, a user can earn a piece of the League reward pool that is calculated and distributed according to how real world athletes represented by each Player Token performs.&#x20;

## Active Leagues

* NFL - 2021 Season

# Nomo Player Tokens

### **What is a Nomo Player Token?**&#x20;

Nomo Player Tokens are Dynamic ERC-721 Tokens that represent real world athletes.

### **What do I do with a player token?**&#x20;

Each Player Token can be used to participate in a Nomo Fantasy League. You can stake your player tokens in the Nomo League Dapp and enter the player token into the weekly Fantasy Pool. Your player tokens will earn points based on how the Athlete they represent performs and can earn a share of the weekly league rewards according to their point score.

### **Are my player tokens only good for one season?**&#x20;

No. Player Tokens will remain active for as long as the Athlete they represent remains active in the league. You can use your player tokens to compete in future Nomo seasons. This is why we call Nomo, the "Ultimate Keeper League".

### **How do I mint a Player Token?**&#x20;

Go to LeagueDAO.com/mint (not active yet), connect your wallet (make sure your are connected via the Polygon Mainnet), select the number of Player Tokens you want to mint and click “Mint”.&#x20;

If you are new to NFTs, check out these awesome guides made by the rockstar team at Fluf.World. There isn’t an official affiliation the Flufs, we just love their resources. Of course, for the Nomo Player Token mint you will be heading to LeagueDAO.com/mint and have to make sure your wallet is connected to the Polygon Mainnet not the Ethereum Mainnet (see below for more info on this).

# How do I join a Nomo League?

You can join a Nomo League by staking your Nomo Player Tokens.&#x20;

Once you have minted your Player Token go to the dApp and connect your wallet, click View League on the appropriate Fantasy League (right now there’s just football so there will only be one active league); then click Stake Player and follow the steps to stake your Player Token in the league.

# I have minted Nomo but I cannot find a player name or picture on Opensea

&#x20;You have to update the metadata on Opensea.&#x20;

This is just a matter of opensea moving slow. If you click the little reload symbol in the top right corner of the token page on Opensea you will be able to refresh the metadata and after a few minutes this should reveal the player.

# How do I stake a Player Token?

You manager your “Team” of Player Tokens by staking your NFTs in the appropriate Nomo league.

![](https://miro.medium.com/max/600/1*5CawLzp1ap10jmtFBmlO1A.gif)

Once you’ve staked your players, you are all set.

# How many Players can I stake?

In the Nomo Fantasy Football League you can have a maximum of 12 player tokens staked at any one point.&#x20;

Each League/Sport will have a different number.&#x20;

# Is there a deadline to stake my player tokens?

Nomo Fantasy Football Player Tokens must be staked by Thursday at 5:00 PM to be eligible to compete for that week's reward.&#x20;

Once you stake your players you can keep them staked week to week and they will remain eligible.&#x20;

# Do I have to re-stake my Player Tokens each week?

No. Your players will remain staked until you unstake them.

<br>

# Do I have to stake a whole team of 12 players?

There is no minimum number of staked Player Tokens required.

All you need is 1 player token to stake and participate in the league.&#x20;

# I staked my player and now I can't see him anywhere

Wait for the transaction to process. When it is completed try reloading the page.

# How are Rewards Earned?

Each staked Player Token earns rewards based on the points the athlete represented by the Player Token scores each week.&#x20;

For the first Nomo Fantasy Football League we are using the .5 PPR (half a point per reception) scoring format. A detailed breakdown of the scoring format can be found [here](/product-guides/nomo-fantasy-leagues/nomo-fantasy-football-scoring).&#x20;

### **Reward Calculation**

Each week the Reward Pool generates yield in the form of DAI. The yield generated by the Reward Pool is paid out to League participants as the Weekly Reward.&#x20;

If the total reward for a week is, for example, 100 DAI, that means all of the staked player tokens are competing for a share of 100 DAI.&#x20;

The Weekly Reward amount is distributed according to the % of the total point scored across all staked players that each individual player token scores.&#x20;

### **Example:**&#x20;

All of the players in week 5 score a combined 100 points.&#x20;

I own Player Y and staked him in the league. Player Y scored 3 points during Week 5.&#x20;

The total league wide Reward for Week 5 is 100 DAI.&#x20;

Player Y has earned 3 DAI (3% of the total combined points and therefore 3% of the Weekly League Rewards).&#x20;

# Is there an advantage to staking more players?

The rewards are distributed according to how each player performs and their pro-rata share of the total points generated by staked player tokens. So no, there isn’t a competitive advantage to have a team of players re a special prize pool for top teams etc.

There is no advantage gained to having a the max # of player staked versus 1 player.

# How Long Do I have to claim my rewards?

You do not have to claim your rewards by a set time. You can let your rewards accrue over multiple weeks and claim them all at once.

# When can I claim my rewards?

For the 2021 Football season, rewards will be available to be claimed on Tuesdays following the completion of the prior day's Monday night game.&#x20;

# League rewards…. are they only for this season?

**Two parts to the rewards: 1. The Reward Pool and 2. The Weekly Rewards. The Reward Pool is 80% Dai collected from the sale of Player Tokens.**&#x54;he&#x20;

Reward Pool will be not paid out so that there is nothing left at the end of the season. Instead we developed a model that generates weekly rewards while growing the reward pool year after year.&#x20;

There is a Nomo Strategy Smart Contract that takes the Reward Pool and stakes it in a yield generating defi protocol on Polygon.

Each week the Strategy Contract withdraws the yield generated by the Reward Pool and distributes those funds (the Weekly Rewards) to players in the League.&#x20;

Currently the Reward Pool is being staked via QuickSwap to generate Rewards but that can change depending on APY as we work to maximize the yield generated from the Reward Pool.

This strategy ensures the Reward Pool is not depleted at the end of the year and will continue to grow and compound during the offseason so Season 2 rewards will be larger than season 1 and so forth.

# Claiming Nomo League Rewards

You can claim your rewards each week from the Nomo League dApp.&#x20;

1. Go to App.Leaguedao.com
2. Connect your wallet (make sure you are connecting via the polygon network)
3. Go to the ‘Account’ page in the app.&#x20;
4. If there are any rewards to be claimed, click Claim Rewards and confirm the transaction.&#x20;

# Beginner's Guide to Governance

## Intro

“LeagueDAO” does not refer to an incorporated entity based out of any legal jurisdiction. It is an open source suite of applications for tokenizing fantasy sports and play-to-earn gaming. Its founding team and the community that has emerged since its inception coordinate the continued development of this suite through a combination of formalized decision-making and informal channels for reaching consensus.&#x20;

Its formalized decision-making is conducted through a structure referred to as a “DAO”, or Decentralized Autonomous Organization. The DAO is architected as a series of smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain that allow users to deposit LeagueDAO’s governance token, $LEAG, to gain voting power. This voting power then allows users to decide on how to introduce new, or maintain existing, applications, as well as how to allocate collective resources in the shared treasury. With its DAO, LeagueDAO becomes accessible to anyone with an internet connection and an Ethereum wallet.

The aforementioned informal channels refer to where the LeagueDAO community congregates and discusses ideas, user feedback, and prospective DAO proposals. Such discussions happen primarily on our Discord server, with longer-form conversations being held on the LeagueDAO forum.&#x20;

## The State of LeagueDAO Governance Today

As mentioned above, LeagueDAO governance relies heavily on informal consensus gathering to make decisions. This reflects the early nature of the project: a core team and some hundred engaged community members are able to have orderly discussions without issue. The following process flow reflects what a good-faith effort for participating in governance would look like.

1. **Establishing a Reputation:** Whether publicly or pseudonymously, you can establish yourself as an engaged member of the community by participating in conversations on our Discord and the LeagueDAO forum.&#x20;
2. **Getting Feedback via Our Intake Form:** The community has approved an Integration Team that works with community members and external parties to assess the feasibility of proposed ideas and see through the implementation of successful ones. Should you have an idea you would like to push forward, you can confer with the Integration Team to first brainstorm the idea.&#x20;
3. **Notify with a Forum Post:** Once you have workshopped your idea with the Integration Team and, ideally, other community members in the Discord, you can then make a comprehensive forum post outlining it. This will allow you to gain formalized feedback from the community and core team members, as well as make it easier for the discussion to be shared in the Discord or on Twitter.
4. **Wait 2 Days and Submit a 5-Day Snapshot Vote:** After your forum post has been up for 48 hours, you should feel free to propose a Snapshot vote on the idea. **This is the most subjective part of the process.** You should make a clear effort to incorporate the feedback you received in the forum discussion into the Snapshot proposal.&#x20;
5. **Proposal Included in the Next DAO Vote:** If your Snapshot concludes with clearly unanimous agreement among the community’s most engaged members, it will be included in the next on-chain DAO vote. These votes will occur periodically as the core team continues to work through its roadmap. If your Snapshot vote did not garner significant turnout or unanimous approval, feel free to try it again with the new feedback you receive.

The current state of governance reflects **a)** the gas costs associated with holding DAO votes on-chain, and **b)** the small community size of LeagueDAO. As LeagueDAO grows, we will look to build out a more robust governance structure that will allow for the core team to merge with the community via a council entity, and for there to be specialized working groups through which specific topics can be routed.&#x20;

## On-Chain Voting

Currently, the core team coordinates when DAO votes occur in order to optimize for this gas intensity. DAO votes are reserved for actual on-chain actions, whether that be deploying smart contracts or allocating treasury funds. This means that such votes will occur periodically as roadmap items get deployed (e.g., new applications, new liquidity mining reward pools) on-chain; such votes could however be called by any community member willing to pay the associated gas fees. Each DAO vote can support up to 10 separate on-chain actions, which is why we currently roll successful Snapshot proposals into them.&#x20;

It is important to note how voting power is determined in such votes. For a participant’s LEAG holdings to count for their vote, the tokens must be staked in the DAO.&#x20;

[How to stake in the DAO?](/tutorials-faq/leaguedao-governance/how-to-obtain-voting-power-stake-in-the-dao)

The participant can then choose to either leave their LEAG unlocked, or leave it locked for up to a year. One unlocked LEAG gives the user one vLEAG voting share; locking up one LEAG for a whole year gives the user 2 vLEAG voting shares. This bonus decays linearly relative to the remaining duration of the lock. If you lock for one year, after 6 months only 50% of the bonus will remain; after 9 months, only 25%; and after a year, your LEAG staked and vLEAG will be identical.

[How to lock LEAG to increase voting power?](/tutorials-faq/leaguedao-governance/how-to-lock-usdleag-to-increase-voting-power)

Worth noting: users can opt to delegate their vLEAG to another user. This allows smaller users, who may be put off by the cost of gas fees associated with casting a vote, to ensure that an aligned representative can vote on their behalf.&#x20;

* [How to delegate voting power (vLEAG)?](/tutorials-faq/leaguedao-governance/how-to-delegate-voting-power-vleag)
* [How to return delegated voting power (vLEAG)?](/tutorials-faq/leaguedao-governance/how-to-return-delegated-voting-power-vleag)

### Thresholds

To be proposed and passed, a DAO vote must meet the following thresholds:

* **Proposer’s vLEAG needs to be >= 1% of Total LEAG Staked:** To submit a proposal for vote, the address doing so must have vLEAG greater than 1% of the total LEAG staked. For example, if there are 1000 LEAG staked, a user will need either 10 unlocked LEAG staked, or 5 LEAG locked for a year.&#x20;
* **Minimum 40% of Staked LEAG Must Vote:** For a vote to be considered legitimate, the amount of vLEAG that participates in the vote must be >= 40% of the total LEAG staked. For example, if there are 1000 LEAG staked, the participation of 400 vLEAG would be enough to achieve quorum.&#x20;
* **Minimum 60% of Participating vLEAG Must Approve:** A DAO vote is considered approved if the vLEAG quorum is reached and 60% of it votes in the affirmative once the vote concludes. <br>
* [How to create a proposal?](/tutorials-faq/leaguedao-governance/how-to-create-a-dao-proposal)
* [How to vote on the proposal?](/tutorials-faq/leaguedao-governance/how-to-vote-on-a-dao-proposal)

### Process Flow

Each proposal is formed of:

* ID
* Title
* Description
* List of targets (addresses)
* List of values
* List of signatures
* List of calldata

A proposal can execute up to 10 different actions, but they must be done so atomically (i.e., all or nothing).

In order to give DAO participants enough time to stake, vote, check and discuss proposals, each of the following periods lasts for 4 days: Warm-up, Voting, Queued for execution, Grace.

![](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/VcxgxKHBcm_Dr6pS6z50X5fUx1_utFgQbuB1ygXeU4fLp4MhW6CRAd4pgJ9RtuKw_3xFeeEHjxSLh-BhROhDBy5wKhRSShNjVyKazttK1WYPNR2Gv5wlG-pGk2kFUKCIEzhzux3_)

Notice, the **Queued** period is the only state that requires a user action to activate. So when it is activated, its 4-day lasting period counts from the moment when the voting ended, not when the user did the action. For example, if voting ends and someone queues the proposal 2 days after, it will not stay in the queue for 4 more days but only 2 days because 2 have already passed.

During the **Queued** period, a special type of proposal, referred to as an Abrogation Proposal, can be added to the original proposal. While such a proposal allows for a last-minute action to be added, it requires 50% of staked LEAG to participate; essentially, it serves to provide extra bandwidth for DAO action in the case of an emergency vote.

Once a proposal is accepted, it will have to wait in a queue before it can be executed. During this time, it can be canceled by:

* the creator;
* anyone if the creator’s balance falls below the 1% threshold;
* cancellation proposal.

Once a proposal becomes executable, any users can call the execute function. If the proposal is not executed during the **Grace** period, it is marked as expired and cannot be executed anymore.

Feel free to jump in our **Discord**, **submit a forum post**, or **add a Snapshot vote**.

# Launch DAO

### What is the Launch DAO?

LeagueDAO is using the “DAO First” governance model, which means it has never been, and never will be, a traditional company. Instead, LeagueDAO founders decided to launch the project as a DAO and split the governance between the core team. This DAO is called the LaunchDAO.

It was created using Aragon DAO Company Template which uses transferable tokens to represent ownership stake. Decisions are made based on stake-weighted voting with the LGVOTE token.&#x20;

The LaunchDAO is a temporary DAO that consisted of the project founders, seeders and advisors for building the initial version of the protocol.

The funds from the seeders and the initial supply of the $LEAG token will be kept in the Launch DAO treasury.&#x20;

The final LeagueDAO is the governance DAO where the community can vote with their $LEAG tokens. The DAO is the core component of the LeagueDAO platform as it enables decentralized decision making to enforce actions in the interest of the community.

# Players Associations

![LeagueDAO Governance Token Distribution Chart](/files/-Mk3QtJJjpl4DR0wCWMG)

### **How long is the vesting schedule?**

The vesting schedule is designed so that there is not a giant cliff waiting over user’s heads at a specific point. The tokens allocated to the Founders, Contributors, and Advisors are locked in a smart contract that releases the tokens on a weekly basis over a two year period (100 weeks). The vesting period started with the launch of the Yield Farming mechanism.

### **How many $LEAG tokens are released each week?**

A total of 9,400,000 $LEAG tokens will be distributed weekly.

* YF Pools: 3,500,000; (20 Weeks)

# $LEAG Token

### **What is the $LEAG token?**

$LEAG is an ERC-20 token. Holders of the token will have the ability to govern the network by staking their holdings in return for the right to govern the network.

The $LEAG token is storable on any wallet that has adopted the ERC-20 token standard - providing broad access across the world.

**The $LEAG token is a governance token that powers the LeagueDAO protocol.**

### **What is $LEAG token total supply?**

The total amount of $LEAG tokens is 1,000,000,000 with 69,777,777 LEAG tokens to be minted each calendar year. This function can be controlled by the DAO.

### **What is the $LEAG token contract address?**

[**https://etherscan.io/token/0x7b39917f9562C8Bc83c7a6c2950FF571375D505D**](https://etherscan.io/token/0x7b39917f9562C8Bc83c7a6c2950FF571375D505D)

# $LEAG Token Airdrop

### Airdrop Eligibility:

1. If you were active on the LeagueDAO Discord before 10/10/2021 AND Verified your eligibility in the #airdrop-eligibility channel in the discord.&#x20;
2. Other Categories TBD

### How the Airdrop will work:&#x20;

We specifically wanted to clarify one key point: This will not be like airdrops you might have previously participated in. We will be using an airdrop mechanism that was used earlier this year by Universe XYZ.

**That mechanism works as follows:**

* If you are eligible, your address will receive X amount of $LEAG in the airdrop
* Claims made before the 52 week mark pay a penalty
* The amount you can claim without penalty increases weekly
* Penalties get redistributed among remaining non-claimants

For example, if you’re eligible for a 10,000 $LEAG airdrop, you can choose to either claim a portion of it before the 52 weeks are up, or wait to get your full airdrop plus any redistributed penalties from earlier claimants any time after 52 weeks have elapsed.

Once the Claim for the drop is live, we’ll be sure to share it both here on Medium and in the community Discord server.

# DAO Staking

## DAO Staking Pool

DAO Staking pool will launch on October 17th, 2021 after the end of the first Yield Farming Epoch. It is designed as an extra incentive for the early DAO participants. In addition to voting power, you also receive rewards from the DAO rewards pool.

We have currently preloaded the pool with 60,000,000 that will run for 100 weeks. The amount of your $LEAG staked against the total amount of vLEAG staked will determine your percentage of the rewards. Below you can see the breakdown of the specs.

![](/files/-MkbZewtWNRIjZUWnvRe)

### **DAO Staking Pool Details**

Our staking contract is a new contract, distinct from the Liquidity Mining & Yield Farming contract system. This staking contract and rewards work in a continuous manner. So you stake for 5 days you get 5 days worth of tokens. You can come and go as you please. You will manually need to claim your reward $LEAG tokens though.

**We want to make it clear that the reason for the LeagueDAO to have rewards is to incentivize users to actually participate in the governance system. The best way to do that is by rewarding early participants with more influence in the governance system.**

# LP Incentivization

USDC/LEAG liquidity pool incentivization program will launch on October 17th, 2021. The concept behind the initiative is to reward long-term liquidity providers of the Sushiswap USDC/LEAG pool with progressively more power over the protocol as they continue to signal their belief in the LeagueDAO vision.&#x20;

You have to stake the SushiSwap LP tokens (USDC\_LEAG\_SUSHI\_LP). You’ll get them for providing liquidity to the USDC/LEAG pool on SushiSwap.

Read more about USDC/LEAG pool on Medium: <https://medium.com/leaguedao/yield-farming-dao-staking-sushi-lp-incentivization-programs-with-leaguedao-99b844969e5e>

# Yield Farming

### **Yield Farming Pool**

**This** staking contract was the first mechanism delivering initial $LEAG token distribution to the community. This contract holds 8% of the total supply and will be distributed to community members who stake XYZ, BOND, ENTR, IONX, ILV, LINK, SNX and SUSHI Tokens.&#x20;

![](/files/-MkbZMWgZxfCkxBlCUNr)

# Yield Farming Epochs

**What if I deposit after the start of the epoch?**

The deposit works like this: for the current epoch, the amount that is taken into consideration when the reward is calculated is relative to the time when you deposit it.

If you enter when there’s only 20% time left, your effective balance will be equal to actual balance \* 20% where the multiplier is exactly that 20%. For the next epoch (and any subsequent epoch), the multiplier is set back to 100%.

If you deposit some more, the multiplier will be less, but the effective balance will always be greater than the previous. For example: you start the epoch with 100 USDC, then deposit 100 USDC at exactly 50% of the epoch => your effective balance for this epoch is 150 USDC = 100 + 50% \* 100 or 200\*75% - 75% being the new weighted-average multiplier.

**This mechanic works for the USDC/LEAG Pool and Yield Farming Pools but not for the DAO Staking Pool where you get rewards for the time you staked in the pool.**

### **What if I withdraw before the end of the epoch?**

**If you withdraw before the epoch ends, there are 2 possibilities:**

You withdraw the full amount => in which case your effective balance goes to 0 because your actual balance, which is now 0, multiplied by any kind of multiplier is still 0.

You withdraw only a part of it => the multiplier is recalculated as the weighted average of the deposits (let’s say you deposit 100 USDC then after half of the time you withdraw 50 USDC => you’ll end up just like you initially deposited 50 USDC).

Any withdrawal causes the reward for the amount of money withdrawn to be lost.

**This mechanic works for the USDC/LEAG LP and Yield Farming pools but not for the DAO Staking Pool where you get rewards for the time you staked in the pool.**

# Yield Farming and LP Incentives

# How can I earn rewards from the USDC/LEAG pool?

# Adding Polygon Network to your Wallet

### Setup your MetaMask Wallet to use Polygon <a href="#metamask-wallet" id="metamask-wallet"></a>

Metamask is a browser add-on that manages a user’s Ethereum wallet by storing their private key on their browser’s data store and the seed phrase encrypted with their password.

It is a non-custodial wallet, meaning, the user has full access and responsibility their private key. Once lost, the user can no longer control the savings or restore access to the wallet.

Interacting with LeagueDAO on Polygon will be just like on Ethereum, you will use MetaMask to sign and approve transactions to purchase LeagueDAO NFTs and interacting with our apps like the Nomo Leagues.

&#x20;Install the Metamask Extension from the Store

Visit the [browser extension marketplace](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn) and download the MetaMask extension.

# What is a Bridge?

### You probably saw the term 'Bridge' used in our guides for using the Polygon Network. Let's explain what a web3 'Bridge' is.

### Defining a Bridge

As the world of blockchain becomes more complex, it is important to make sure that there is a common connection that allows for interoperability between different networks.

Bridges make it possible to transfer assets between different networks in a trust minimized manner. Different chains and scaling solutions have different consensus mechanisms and specifications, but bridges create the synergy needed to create a diverse range of decentralized solutions that can interact with each other.

### Benefits of using a Bridge

By allowing users to move their assets to different networks, bridges allow for interaction with a wider range of assets and farming opportunities. In addition, other systems offer more scalability or more throughput and thus allow users to transact with lower transaction fees.

# How to obtain DAI on Polygon

A few different options

### **1. Bridge your DAI from Ethereum to Polygon** 🌉&#x20;

\
If you already have DAI on the Ethereum mainnet, you can to move this over to Polygon.\
You can use the official [Matic Wallet bridge](https://wallet.polygon.technology/bridge), the [Zapper.fi bridge](https://zapper.fi/bridge) or the [Aavegotchi bridge](https://aavegotchi.com/bridge). Here is a [**great written guide**](https://quickswap-layer2.medium.com/how-to-set-up-polygon-matic-mainnet-for-metamask-transfer-assets-from-l1-to-l2-to-use-9a7975eb8769) for the official bridge, as well as a [**YouTube tutorial**](https://youtu.be/jQCXmiwtIQU?t=373).\
\
*Note: this will require a transaction on Ethereum mainnet. Depending on the transaction cost (gas fees) of Ethereum, this only makes sense if you want to transfer relatively large amounts of your existing DAI.* <br>

### **2. Bridge your DAI from other blockchains to Polygon** 🌉&#x20;

If you already have:

* DAI on **Binance Smart Chain (BSC)**
* xDAI on the **xDAI** chain
* DAI on **Fantom**
* DAI on **Avalanche**
* DAI on **Arbitrum**
* DAI on **Optimism**

You can use the [xpollinate.io bridge ](https://www.xpollinate.io/)or [Anyswap router](https://anyswap.exchange/#/router) or [Hop Exchange](https://app.hop.exchange/send?token=DAI\&destNetwork=polygon) to transfer DAI to Polygon. *See this* [*external guide*](https://www.xdaichain.com/for-users/bridges/xdai-matic-connext-bridge)*. Transaction costs will be very low. Note that xpollinate does not support Avalanche (yet).*

### **3. Buy DAI directly on Polygon (via a third-party)** 👛

\
There are multiple service providers that offer the possibility to directly buy DAI on Polygon. \
e.g. <https://ramp.network/buy/> or <https://global.transak.com/>\
*Make sure to select "DAI on Polygon chain" or "DAI on Polygon network" so you end up with the correct DAI. Most often you can pay by either a Bank Transfer (e.g. SEPA deposit) or a debit or credit card. Transaction fees should be somewhat cheaper compared to transferring DAI from Ethereum.*<br>

> &#x20;:warning: *These are external services - not related to the LeagueDAO! You will most likely be required to verify your identity and pay a fee for using their service. We'd like to make clear that this is NOT an endorsement or recommendation of any type.* :warning:

### **4. Swap on a decentralized exchange on Polygon** 🔄

If you already hold other assets on Polygon (e.g. ETH or MATIC or USDC or another token), you can use the [Quickswap Exchange](https://quickswap.exchange/#/swap?outputCurrency=0x8f3Cf7ad23Cd3CaDbD9735AFf958023239c6A063) or [Paraswap](https://paraswap.io/#/?network=polygon) to easily swap them for DAI.\
*You will need a very small amount of MATIC to pay for the (negligible) transaction costs.*

## Polygon and Ethereum Network <a href="#id-9085" id="id-9085"></a>

Polygon (Matic token) is it’s own network, and connects Ethereum-compatible blockchain networks.  The Nomo League will operate on the Polygon Network.&#x20;

## Why Polygon Network? <a href="#adf7" id="adf7"></a>

The reason we have selected the Polygon network for our Nomo League and Player Token drops, is because the GAS cost is much cheaper than Ethereum (meaning we can save money that could be better spent on further development of LeagueDAO and the Nomo Protocol), and the transaction speeds are much quicker as well. What might cost us a few thousand dollars and many minutes to hours to send on Ethereum might only be a few dollars and only seconds on Polygon.

From a user perspective — this shouldn’t impact you too much, as you can still buy, sell or transfer your NFT the same way you normally would on on Ethereum. If you’re looking to Player Token on the Polygon network, you will first have to deposit your USDC from the Ethereum network into the Polygon network.

Once you’ve transfered USDC from the Ethereum to Polygon network, you’ll be ready to rock!

## How can I switch my wallet to blockchains like Polygon?

Here is how you can add other blockchains, like Polygon, to your crypto wallet using [Chainlist.](https://chainlist.org/)

### Using Chainlist to switch networks

Go to [https://chainlist.org/. ](https://chainlist.org/)Click on **Connect Wallet** in the top right corner.&#x20;

\
![connect-wallet.png](https://support.opensea.io/hc/article_attachments/1500018276502/connect-wallet.png)

&#x20;

Once your wallet is connected, let's add the Polygon Network (also called Polygon (PoS), or Matic network). Type **Matic** in the search bar.

At this point you can choose between two networks : the mainnet and the testnet (Mumbai).\
You can click on the **Add to MetaMask** button under the Matic Mainnet option (or your desired network).

\
![click-on-mainnet.png](https://support.opensea.io/hc/article_attachments/1500018277622/click-on-mainnet.png)\ <br>

You will be prompted by Metamask to allow Chainlist to add a Network, click on the **Approve** button.

\
![approve.png](https://support.opensea.io/hc/article_attachments/1500018555881/approve.png)

&#x20;

MetaMask will prompt if you want to switch networks now. <br>

Once you've added your desired network, you can switch networks by opening MetaMask and clicking at the top of the MetaMask extension.\
\
You'll see **your current network** displayed, click on it and you can select any network from the drop-down list.

\
![change-network.png](https://support.opensea.io/hc/article_attachments/1500018555121/change-network.png)

\
We've clicked on Matic Mainnet (Polygon PoS), but you can select any of the networks listed. Once you click in, you should now be on your new network.&#x20;
